Want to Take Your Business, Brand, Career and Revenue to the
Next Level?
Then You'll Want to Hire Sam Horn as Your Business and Career
Strategist
Sam has an amazing ability to interview you about your
experience, expertise and offerings, pull out what is most
compelling and commercially-viable, compare it to your goals,
and then combine it with her proprietary POP! Process to create
a strategic and tactical positioning that gives you a
competitive edge.
She then has an uncanny ability to turn that USP (Unique
Strategic Positioning) into a signature message and mission
that help you POP! out . . . even in a crowded marketplace,
especially in a crowded marketplace. Anyone hearing about
your business, products, services and offerings will instantly
get them, like them, remember them and be motivated to
want them, buy them and recommend them.
That may sound rather grandiose, but the thousands of people who
have seen Sam give on-the-spot coaching to audience
participants, and who have hired her as their strategist, will
attest to her genius-like ability to generate attention-grabbing
ideas and one-of-a-kind approaches that catapult their success.
As a Hall of Fame speaker told Sam, “I’d always heard you were
the Book Lady or the Title Guru. What I didn’t understand was
you’re so much more than that. You re-package entrepreneurs and
organizations so they break out. Your motto should be, ‘Not
titles, careers. You’ve changed my life and business . . .
for good.”
Here are FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) about the how Sam’s
consulting process works.
1. Do I have to know in advance what I want to focus on and
accomplish?
It helps, but it’s not necessary.
Some of Sam’s clients know exactly what they want to achieve -
others just know they want to take their career or business to
the next level. People often say, "Just tell me what to do.
Help me make it happen."
Some clients know they're leaving money on the table. Others
know they have impressive credentials but don't know how to
pitch them, package them, position them or present them for
optimal success. Some realize they're getting lost in their
crowded industry because they look and sound like everyone
else. All want to create something first-of-its-kind that will
catapult their impact and income.
2. How does Sam help me, my business and/or my priority
project break out?
Sam uses her proprietary POP! Process and W9 Form to dig
deep and identify what you're offering that is special and that
has the potential to differentiate you from your competitors.
Mostly though, she uses her prodigious mind (and her
ever-present notepad) to deeply listen to what you’re saying to
figure out how you can zig where everyone else is zagging.
Over the years, Sam has developed an ability to mind-map what
you're saying and connect that with her knowledge of current
events to make quantum creative leaps that crystallize a new
positioning for your work that has the power to get you noticed
. . .for all the right reasons.
She'll often hear a kernel of an idea that has breakout
potential and then POP! it into a
proprietary never-before-heard-or-seen phrase you can trademark,
merchandize, media-ize (that’s a word, right?) and monetize . .
. in perpetuity.
You are encouraged to record your sessions with Sam as she
morphs your priorities and projects into something that moves
you to the head of your class. Many clients tell us they listen
to the CD’s of their sessions with Sam again and again because
the languaging she produces is often so perfect they insert it
directly into their website copy, marketing material, proposal,
manuscript or presentation.
You’ll also want to take notes and “ink it when you think it” to
capture the in-the-moment epiphanies that emerge during your
sessions. As Pulitzer Prize nominee Fawn Germer says, “You
don’t have to be a creative genius to use Sam’s Ideas. But
using her ideas can make you a creative genius.” Recording Sam's
in-the-flow ideas when her brain’s on fire and she’s 100%
focused on your priorities can catapult your creative
positioning and income and drive the next ten years of your
life.
3. Who does Sam
Work With?
An organizational development expert who works with
Microsoft and Cisco asked, “Do you just work with speakers,
authors, entrepreneurs and executives?”
Glad you asked that.
Although Sam has worked with the national presidents of major
associations including NSA, ICF, ASTD and ASAE, she has also
worked with astrophysicists, corporate executives, physicians,
grassroots advocates, inventors, INC 500 winners, politicians,
YPOers, 20-somethings with an idea, bestselling authors,
Hollywood Top 35 under 35 fast-trackers, government officials
and non-profit leaders.
Let’s put it this way. What do you care about?
Whether that's your company, a non-profit, keynote, book,
career, proposal, media tour or a political campaign . . . . Sam
can help you get it the visibility, respect, support and funding
it deserves.
Best of all, Sam doesn't just help you with one aspect of your
project. She believes everything we do in business needs to be
strategic and symbiotic.
Sam can help you create an INSTITUTE or an UMBRELLA
BRAND for all your activities so they’re
inter-connected (instead of all over the map) to ensure you get
maximum payoff for your efforts.
For example, if you want to write a breakout book, Sam will work
with you to turn that into a proprietary BODY OF WORK
that you roll out in a variety of business activities and
revenue streams.
Books don't exist in isolation. Books should be on-brand and
congruent with presentations, consulting, e-commerce and media
outreach so you’re building an EQUITY EMPIRE that
generates income in perpetuity.
Sam will help you create a clear, current, compelling,
commercially-viable message and mission that you roll out
through a variety of coordinated formats so everything supports
each other and scales your visibility, impact and results in
record time.
Your media outreach (both traditional and social) should be
based on sound-bites pulled out of your signature message and
mission so it drives traffic to your website and builds your
mailing list and network. Your leading-edge ideas should be
captured in bogs, podcasts, webinars and subscription groups so
you’re monetizing your mind and distributing your ideas
one-to-many, not just one-to-one. Your one-of-a-kind
intellectual capital should be niched for different target
audiences so you don’t have one-offs that limit your income.
When you work with Sam, you’ll discover why her many respected
thought-leader clients
praise her ability to generate first-of-their-kind approaches
that capture attention, respect, and revenue for their work.
4. What kinds of things can Sam help me with? Can I ask her
to help me develop a standout brand, develop a breakout book,
coach me on my pitch presentation, or polish my proposal?
Certainly. Many clients praise Sam’s ability to assess their
work and give precise feedback on how to make it more persuasive
and powerful. She's known for her ability to write tell ‘n
sell copy from scratch that lands them a contract or closes a
deal.
Please note:
Sam doesn’t just review your work in advance. She takes
copious notes, gives specific feedback, and adds her own
intellectual capital that makes it one-of-a-kind. She is
renowned for conjuring up original content and trademark-able
NURDS (new words) that have launched careers and generated 6 and
7 figures in income. (e.g., MOMager for Christine Martinello)
And yes, Sam will tell you if you request something that is
outside her areas of expertise – and will recommend options you
can trust to act with integrity and deliver what the promise.
For example, Sam is NOT a techie. She can certainly teach you
how to write interesting articles, blogs and tweets that
establish you as a topical topic expert (in fact, she just did
that in her Don’t Just Tell It – Sell It presentation
with Marketing Guru Terry Brock at the 2010 NSA Winter
Conference) but she is NOT an expert about Search Engine
Optimization, keywords, and optimizing your electronic gadgets.
What can Sam help you do? See specific examples and
success stories at the end of this document.

happened.)

6. Let's
put this fee in perspective.
If you're a successful keynoter, this fee probably represents
half of what you normally make for one 45 minute keynote.
If you’re a trainer or speaker, this represents what you
would get paid for a convention break-out session or two or for
a day of consulting for a corporate client.
If you're an author, this fee represents less than a tenth of
the advance and royalties you may generate - not to mention the
tens of thousands of dollars you’ll receive from speaking
engagements, media attention and consulting work you’ll get as a
result of Sam helping you get create a book that is sold around
the world. A client told Sam, “I paid 5 figures for a publicist
for my previous book and didn’t get one review or interview.
I got more value from you in one day than I did in three months
of working with that publicist.”
If you're a business owner or consultant, this fee represents a
faction of the income you'll derive from new customers, new
products, contracts, services and increased sales. One Inc. 500
client told Sam that the concise, compelling elevator intro they
developed together resulted in three new clients at one
networking event. A therapist told Sam a tele-seminar she
conducted as a result of their work together filled her calendar
with new clients who were impressed with her style and approach.
If you're seeking venture capital, this fee represents less than
a hundredth of what you could receive from investors. One
client told Sam that she went from being petrified to delivering
a confident, convincing pitch that helped her secure hundreds of
thousands of dollars in matching funds from her state.
If you're running a non-profit, this represents a small portion
of the grants, donations and contributions that result from an
in-integrity, attention-grabbing promotional campaign. One
client (okay, full disclosure, this is my son Andrew Horn, who
heads up Dreams for Kids in Wash DC who used his mom’s advice to
generate media outreach that got an inaugural event covered by
the Washington Post and Fox News.
In other words, the money you pay to work with Sam will generate
visionary ideas and approaches that pay off for you in multiple
ways, for years to come, earning back many times over your
initial investment.
And yes – we do have a payment plan. If you’re in a bit of a
cash crunch, you are welcome to divide the amount of your Gold
or Platinum Plan into three monthly payments.
Just add a $20 a month fee to cover the additional
administrative costs.

Plans?
Upon purchasing a package, you receive a comprehensive
questionnaire Sam has developed exclusively for consulting
clients. This questionnaire helps you assess your current

and clarify where you'd like to be one year from now. Many
clients have told us their consulting package paid off – even
before they met with Sam – from the insights they received by
taking the time to answer these thought-provoking questions.
For the Gold Plan, you send this completed questionnaire to Sam
